Lindsay (Leslie) Memorial Chapel is built.

Architect: Allen & Cullen. An addition to Emmanuel Church, it is located at 15 Newbury Street. Built in memory of one of the victims on the Lusitania, it is paid for by the sale of the rubies and diamonds that were on her body when it washed ashore in Ireland. The chapel is damaged by a fire set by an arsonist on November 29, 1964.
